Discover How Local Organizations are Making an Impact

Release is an Omaha nonprofit that provides youth and families support in mental health, mentoring, foster care and social work. Their staff specialize in the needs of youth and children and have excellent mental health clinicians that are trauma informed.

What services do you provide?

Mentoring, Foster Care, Mental Health and Social Work

How have you seen the organization make a difference?

On a weekly basis, Release walks alongside hundreds of youth and families giving them support as they become safe, together, healthy and free.

Is there anything you wish more people knew about your organization?

Release has an incredible staff of mental health clinicians. Our mental health services are trauma informed, culturally competent and specifically designed to meet the needs of our community. Release specializes in the needs of youth and children in the child welfare system; however, our clinicians serve clients of all ages and backgrounds.

What previous event have you held that has greatly impacted your organization?

While we were blessed with an outstanding gala due to the generous support of Rhonda and Howard Hawks as Honorary Chairs, another important impact has been the return of our Chaplains and volunteers into the juvenile justice centers in Douglas and Sarpy County.

How can people get connected/involved?

We believe that everybody can do something and can contribute in unique ways. One can get involved as a volunteer by signing up for a Release orientation.
