What services do you provide?

Spark supports holistic community development in Omaha. We offer training, technical assistance and financing for emerging BIPOC real estate developers. We also advocate for and support neighborhood led holistic community development projects.

How have you seen the organization make a difference?

Spark convenes and catalyzes holistic development – as an example, in Brown Park, we worked in partnership with neighborhood leaders who wanted to see changes happen to the public park space. We worked to connect them to the City of Omaha, to private philanthropy to see a $400,000 renovation of the park now underway.

Is there anything you wish more people knew about your organization?

In addition to helping educate and promote holistic development, Spark also lends money to emerging developers working in this space.

What previous event have you held that has greatly impacted your organization?

Spark hosts a Developer Academy each year to provide comprehensive training to BIPOC and women developers. Our course offers the knowledge and connections needed to build great things in Omaha.
