Catholic Charities of Omaha
For almost a century, Catholic Charities of Omaha has been providing hope, strength and resilience throughout the area. Through their numerous community programs, the organization has assisted 325,000 people across 23 counties, served 3,000,000 pounds of food and supplies at their Market Choice pantry and mobile food pantry and has provided 4,725 nights of safety for domestic abuse survivors. Catholic Charities of Omaha continues to grow their efforts through volunteering, community engagement and advocacy.
What services do you provide?
Mental health services for children, adults, families and couples: Faith-based counseling, substance use evaluations, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EDMR)
Domestic Violence Services: The Shelter (temporary, safe and confidential place to stay), 24/7 domestic violence hotline 402-558-5700, survivor support and after-shelter support
Emergency and Supportive Food: The Market, a choice pantry with nutritious and culturally appropriate food for individuals and families
Immigration Legal Services: Adjustment of status, humanitarian benefits, petitions, renewals/replacement and record requests, travel documents and more
Microbusiness and Asset Development: Business training, learning and networking
Senior Services: Senior daytime program, health and wellness resources, social wellness resources and outreach (i.e. tax preparation and banking) activities (i.e. BINGO, Bible study and arts & crafts)
Orphanage and Adoption Archives: Services to help adopted individuals and birth families search for and connect with birth relatives.
