Generation Diamond

Generation Diamond believes everyone deserves a chance, and then another. The organization is dedicated to empowering adults ages 19 and older by providing programs and services that pave the way toward a secure and stable future. The organization serves individuals navigating reentry after incarceration, homelessness, gang involvement and generational poverty. They respond to immediate needs following major life disruptions and offer long-term support through purpose-driven programs that foster direction, resilience and hope.

What services do you provide?

Generation Diamond was founded to address a critical gap in transitional services for the community, providing not only essential support such as ID recovery and basic needs, but also trauma‑informed programming that tackles the deeper challenges of stigma, identity and reintegration.

Generation Diamond provides immediate assistance to meet urgent needs, including food, clothing, hygiene products, housing support and transportation to essential appointments and work. They also offer computer and internet access, employment networking, other practical support services and bilingual assistance. How has Generation Diamond made a difference?

One of the defining features of Generation Diamond is their Tattoo Removal Program, the only known free service of its kind in the Omaha area, which offers both a literal and symbolic fresh start. This service is offered in their office and inside of the Omaha Correctional Center. Learn more about their tattoo removal program here: https://www.generationdiamond.org/blank-6

How can people get connected/involved?

Generation Diamond regularly supports participants who need to complete community service hours as part of a court requirement. They assign tasks that range from cleaning public areas to preparing lunches or organizing hygiene products and other items in their closet and pantry. Anyone 19 years or older can volunteer. As a small team, they truly rely on the extra hands that help keep the doors open and continue serving the community.
